Hello, it’s Andrea again,
and sadly, this will be my last post, as my project is coming to an end and I’ll be going back to Spain at the beginning of June.
I have mixed feelings about leaving Slovenia. On one hand, I miss my family and friends, the food and the general vibe. But on the other hand, I got used to my routine here, the team, the activities, the youngsters and the little moments that made this experience so special. But I can’t complain because I had a great time here and I experienced so many things, both in CZM and in my free time.
During these last months I had the opportunity to travel a lot. I went on a Balkan road trip where we visited Belgrade, Sarajevo, Mostar and Split. Every city had a completely different atmosphere and I loved them all, I cannot decide which one was my favourite. I also made a great discovery – and no, it was not Bosnian coffee, but Salep. I had never heard of this Bosnian hot drink before, but I’m completely obsessed with it and I bought some to prepare at home.
At CZM, these last weeks I’ve spent a lot of time preparing an escape room, which took longer than I expected. I don’t know how many hours I spent planning and preparing everything, but in the end it was worth it because I learned a lot during the process and the youngsters enjoyed it a lot.
Looking back, I still remember my first week here, when I was afraid of not fitting in or not connecting with the young people. Now I realise it was much easier than I thought. I’ve realised that I can work with young people and connect with them, and that’s something very valuable I’m taking from this experience.
Now I realise it was actually much easier than I thought. I’ve learned that I’m able to work with young people and connect with them (even with the language and cultural barriers), and that’s something I’ll definitely take with me from this experience.
So I just want to say I’m really grateful for this opportunity and for everything I’ve experienced here!
Muchas gracias

Slovenski prevod:
Muchas gracias
